Associate Attorney

Location: SAN JOSE, CA

Associate Attorney – Family Law
Location: Santa Clara County, CA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Employment Type: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a driven attorney who thrives on advocacy, ownership of your cases, and delivering exceptional results for clients? We’re looking for an Associate Attorney who brings sharp legal skills, strong judgment, and a collaborative mindset to our growing team.

Under the direction of the Managing Attorney, you’ll manage your own caseload while working closely with a supportive legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney who values professionalism, accountability, and intelligent, results-oriented advocacy.

What You’ll Do

  • Independently manage cases from strategy session through resolution

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and parties via phone and email

  • Execute firm protocols, including Case Reviews, Strategy Session Memos, and Court Prep Emails

  • Ensure court orders, stipulations, and filings are properly routed and documented

  • Prepare clients, experts, and witnesses for hearings and testimony

  • Provide mentorship and strategy support to Junior Associates as needed

  • Maintain timely and professional responses to client communications (within 48 business hours)

  • Maintain CLE compliance and remain in good standing with the California State Bar

  • Strong oral advocacy, legal writing, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and sound professional judgment

  • Commitment to ethical, zealous advocacy within the Rules of Professional Conduct

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines

  • Professional, respectful, and collaborative approach with colleagues and staff

  • Active member in good standing with the CA Bar Association
